First Indian swimmer to breach the FINA 'A' Olympic qualification standard. Two-time Olympian. Arjuna Award 2025.
Born September 14, 1993 in Idukki, Kerala, Sajan dived into a pool at age five — sparked by the environment his mother, former track athlete V. Shantymol, worked in. That first splash became a lifelong calling.
Training under coach Pradeep Kumar in Bengaluru and later Dubai, Sajan evolved from a talented junior into India's most decorated competitive swimmer — a transformation built on sacrifice and thousands of laps.
At the 2021 Sette Colli Trophy in Rome, he clocked 1:56.38 in the 200m butterfly — shattering the FINA A Olympic standard, making history as the first Indian to earn a merit-based Olympic qualification. Tokyo 2020 followed: his second Olympics.
Every stroke in the pool is a conversation with your limits — and a decision to go beyond them.
Learn from an Olympian. Whether you're taking your first strokes or chasing a medal, Sajan's workshops are built around real performance principles from two decades of elite training.
